Brent is a native of Dover, Ohio. He is a graduate of Freed-Hardeman University and Harding Graduate School of Religion. He has worked with churches in New Matamoras, OH, Pine Grove, WV, and is present with the Oakwood Road congregation in Fairmont, WV. He is married to the former Janie Higginbotham and they have three children, Ryan, Amy, and Jason. Ryan and his wife Kay live in Hamilton, AL, along with their children, Ava, Noah, and Sara Kate. Amy and her husband, Chris Saunders, live in Fairmont along with their children, Amelia and Cole. Jason lives in Tullahoma, TN.
